Earth’s Formation History

Plate Tectonics: The Driving Force of Change
Plate tectonics is a fundamental theory in geology, explaining many geological phenomena such as earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountain formation. The Earth’s crust is divided into many large plates, constantly moving and interacting with each other. The collisions, separations, and lateral sliding of these plates create powerful forces, causing significant changes on the Earth’s surface.

Geomorphology studies the shape of the Earth’s surface, including the formation and development processes of landforms such as mountains, hills, valleys, rivers, lakes… Factors such as erosion, sedimentation, glacial impact, and geological activity all contribute to the diversity of landforms around the world.
